Using the best quality blooms and here to bring you some comfort, knowing the flowers are expertly taken care of.

Designs can be created in preferred colour themes or a simply beautiful seasonal selection.

We can include a very personal touch of favourite or meaningful flowers and colours, providing they are available to us.

Blossom Service summary

  • We use the best quality imported flowers, as well as UK grown and locally grown (within the British growing season)

  • Friendly and knowledgeable advice and guidance, with over 15 years of floristry expertise.

  • Tributes are created using more natural, sustainable design techniques which are kinder to our environment, without the use of floral foam, single use plastics and wire. Plastic containers may be used, which can be returned to us and re-used, so no waste ends up in landfill or our seas.

  • In person, private consultations (or phone/video call or home visit if preferred)
  • Should you have any queries or worries prior to the day of the funeral, I am here to help
  • Bespoke proposals are provided, stating all design details and requirements, sent to you via email for peace of mind
  • Communication with funeral homes regarding finer details on your behalf
  • Local hand delivery service to funeral homes and home address or collection available from the Blossom studio
  • Help with floral arrangements for gravesides and memorials, should you require them

Sustainability

Floral foam ( a popular design medium that holds water) contains micro-plastics which take 100s of years to break down, is not reusable and it’s also toxic to marine life and humans.

Creating designs which are foam-free means that other materials are used instead and ,are a minimum of, one of the following:- biodegradable, can be repurposed, recyclable, compostable

Compostable tributes are created without floral foam, wire, plastic, other non-biodegradable materials. Design mediums include ; moss, natural twine, compostable bags, bamboo trays , wood and willow.

These designs are also suitable for ‘green’ or ‘eco’ funerals/woodland burials and for those who are eco- conscious. Beautiful tributes for loved ones who enjoyed their garden, walking and nature, for example.

‘Blossom’ designs are created less ‘funereal’ in style and more a celebration of life and flowers.

Here to advise on many design ideas, including tributes which can be arranged and given to family/friends after the service or given to care homes , for example.

Designs can also be created for decoration in services and wakes too.

Tributes can be collected from the Blossom studio in Burton on Trent or delivered locally to funeral directors or house addresses- local delivery fees apply. Please ask for deliveries further afield, covering Staffordshire, Derby and surrounding areas.
